Everyone likes a little something on the side. That's what makes the world go 'round.

Doing Pattaya can be darned hard work. Just look at the tired eyes around during breakfast.

When you need an R & R from Pattaya, consider an overnight or even several days at a nearby destination. If you need that getaway but fear sleeping in the dark, air out the ATM card and take the newfound light-of-your-life along. But make sure she is not afraid of a sea ferry ride if you decide on one of the island destinations

We'll start you off easy .. with Koh Samet and Koh Chang. Each destination has its plusses.

Consider making your jaunts midweek rather than weekends. Your destination will probably be less crowded and accommodations can usually be bargained better.
